Mark looked into the corners at the top of the elevator, and then nodded as if he saw something. He looked back at Nick, "uh, sir, you do know that there are carmeras on these elevators, don't you?" he asked, "with audio?"

Nick looked at Mark for a second and hold his arms together.

'Did you forget soldier then am the Captain of this vessal and that I control many of the Smart A.I' aboard this magnificent vessal?'

Nick was infact the Commander or Captain of the vessal since 2585 after the Archangel was serverly damaged during the battle of Mars II after being grounded for two years for repairs. Admiral Kastovai Peterson was killed in the battle.

Nick enjoyed being a SPARTAN-II but he often liked to kick back and enjoy the show from his point of view. He had wished for someone of his own blood which he got in 2579 with Professor Ryuka.

'So SPARTAN, tell me where do you think your going to be at 50?, You wanna fight your entire life?'

Nick then looked at Mark with a sarcastic expression on his face.

The Elevator is now at LVL 43

Mark just looked at Nick, trying to keep eye contact with his superior officer. "Sir, I expect to be pronounced MIA long before then," he said, "to the rest of the galaxy SPARTANS don't die, but we both know the truth, sir."

Mark then glanced over at the display, which now read LVL 47, "the answer to your second question is yes, I don't have anything else to live for."

Nick began to break down somewhat...he didn't like talking about his fallen comrades.

'SPARTAN...I've seen more bloodshed then a man should see in ten life times.....I am damm well proud of being a SPARTAN and answering the call to duty but am human,not a robot. I've seen my closest friends and SPARTAN comrades killed in the line of duty. There sacrifice was not in vain.

The Elevator reach LVL 50 and the doors Opened.

Nick looking intense,walked out of the elevator and into the Command Room/Bridge. Suddly the Smart A.I, Ai-Chan appeared in front of Nick.......

Mark watched as Nick left the elevator, and the doors closed behind him, and then he punched the button for sub-level 4. "I understand, sir, I really do," he whispered under his breath, as the elevator lurched off in it's new direction.

Nick Sat his chair and pushes a button which made his chair move to the Hologram Table.


'Ai-Chan,Why is Miss Tokeane Ryoku?'

'Commander,she is in her personal quarters at the moment'

Rear Admiral Tokeane Ryoku was second in command of the UNSC Archangel. Even though she was second in command,despite being an admiral, she almost always took command of the Archangel since Nick would go into Combat quite frequently. this didn't bother her at all.She respected Nick as her superior despite being high ranked. Nick most of the time gave her temp command of the vessal when he left for missions.

Mark felt the elevator lurch to a stop, and then the doors opened, and he stepped out onto sub-level four. "Okay, now to find this Ryuka," he murmured to himself.

SPARTAN-A121 and SPARTAN-A059 were standing next to a door leading into the Project AEOLIA lab where Professor Ryuka was. She was working on the Mobile SUIT( for mobile space utility instrument tactical) Machines

SPARTAN-A121 and SPARTAN-A059 were the Bodyguards to the Professor first and being a SPARTAN second.

SPARTAN -A121 looked at Mark

'Sir, you do not have permission to enter, only The Commander is allowed to Enter'

SPARTAN-A059 resonded, 'Sir, I just been Told the Smart A.I, Lucy that you have permission to enter to become Ryuka's new Pilot'

'Sir!' The Two SPARTAN suddly did a Fall out Movement and did a quick Salute to the SPARTAN. The Door Opened........

Mark nodded, his dark brown hair waving a little, and blue eyes trained on the open door, "thank you, good day," he said.

After that, Mark walked through the door, and into Ryuka's lab. "Ryuka, SPARTAN-C0728 reporting for duty!" He said, saluting.

Mark held his body rigid, and his eyes emotionless, not even showing a strain on the bulky bag he was carring. His Mk VI armor was inside it.

Professor Ryuka considered the SPARTAN-IV's as her daughters and sons in a way. She grabbed Mark's arm and took him to Hanger B-12.

There, Mark saw what he be piloting. It would be something he never piloted before



'SPARTAN, you will be my Test pilot for the exprimental mobile space utility instrument tactical Fighter Unit, The X02-A shinden'

The X02-A shinden was a exprimental mobile space utility instrument tactical Fighter Unit that the UNSCDF Hoped that could turn the Tide of the War to the UNSC. While the SPARTANS were the best, they coulden't ever do enought damage. The UNSC had spent over 500 Billion Dollars into these Humanoid Machines. The UNSC was planning on mass producing these once the final stages of testing were completed. The UNSC were planing to make Elite Pilot by using some of the best SPARTANS that would become Ace's. Mark had this chance of becoming one of those Ace's as he was a Saber pilot Ace. They would also would be given a leadership position where they be promoted to an officer and as well be a Squad Leader.

Was Mark going to become one of these Ace's?.......

Mark nodded his head, and then followed Ryuka to the hangar. He looked around then gave a whistle. "Whoa, what the heck are these?" he asked, "this is what you wanted me to test, right?"
Mark set his bag down on the floor next to the wall and then walked up to Ryuka, "so when do I get to try one?" he asked enthusiastically.

However you will not be alone ever, You are the pilot, You will have a partner, A Operator but he or she will not be in the suit most likey. She/he will help you anyway they can. She will important info and orders for example and keep you posted. Luckily for you, I already have one in mind.'

Ryuka looked at Mark with a question. She called in Mark's operator

'Oh Holly, would you please come in here to meet your pilot'

Holly walked in her UNSC Operator Dress Uniform with a Data pad with information on Mark's X02-A shinden.

'Yes Ma'm?' Holly Remarked.


Holly used to be in the UNSCAF as a Technician aboard a UNSC Carrier. She was also Veteran Pilot at flying Sabres. She's a natural pilot and has some experience flying the X02-A Shinden. Her parents fought in the Human-covenant as Pilots. Her Father however was killed over Reach when his saber was shot down and flew into a Covenant Assault Carrier's Control Room. Holly's rank is Lieutenant Commander. She is a valuable soldier aboard the Archangel


'Yes, This is your Pilot for your X02-A shinden. I hope both of you too make a good team out there because these rebels are coming to Reach soon most likey' Ryuka remarked. She knew it was only a matter of time before they would assault Reach.

Holly Smiled at Mark and shook Mark's hand with her's.

'Nice to meet you SPARTAN!...I hope your a good pilot out there...Am sure we'll make a good team out there, killing these rebels'

Holly smiled again. It looked as Mark was blushing
